Norwegian Constitution Day

Last Sunday was Norwegian Constitution Day, so I went downtown to see the crowds and parades. There were floats from all the surrounding small towns, local schools, bands, athletic and recreational clubs as well as a smattering of dignitaries and people wearing traditional Norwegian costumes. There were even floats from the oil companies! Three of the floats were playing the song Fairytale which has been getting a lot of attention since it won Eurovision.
