Earth Day

Celebrated Earth Day today by cleaning up Håholen woods near our home.
Picked up 8 bags of trash and 3 bags of recycling in about an hour and
a half. Apparently Earth Day isn't celebrated here, or even known
about. Maybe we'll recruit some volunteers next year.

We went to the Sandnes 150 Year Anniversary festival yesterday after orienteering. The Queen was there to give a speech, and entertainment consisted mostly of some aerial acrobatics and music. We froze our butts until 10:30 and then biked home.

I think the winner should move up a category.
After him, it's a smooth progression of times.

2010 Orienteering Results - Race 1

First race of the 2010 season, and I'm in the 'trim' category (training level). Ended up 18/71 (5 disqualified) in a time of 25:19 (7:49 behind the leader). Annoyingly, if I hadn't gotten lost on one post and lost about 5 extra minutes, I would have come about 4th. Mel also participated in yesterday's race and will hopefully be racing the rest of the season too.
